We would like to take this opportunity to welcome each of you and your families to Middleburgh Elementary School. As Middleburgh Elementary PTO board members, it is among our responsibilities to talk with you about our organization, enroll you as a member, and very importantly, encourage you to get involved in your school. But first, since this may be the first time at Middleburgh for many of you, it is important for us to explain what the MESPTO is all about. Our Primary Goal is to maximize and enrich our Children’s Education. We do this in a variety of ways:
We support our students,
teachers, parents and community.
We provide resources and money for funding when needed.
We help organize and create many family activities throughout the school year.
We support the school during special events when needed.
We acknowledge teachers and staff for the many things they do to help our children.
We help create a better atmosphere in the school by adding décor, building school spirit, and most importantly by supporting each other and our children.
We have wonderful Plans for the 2012-2013 School Year.
Here are some of the main “Events” we are looking forward to:The Fall Fundraiser: This is our main fundraising event of the year. We use this to operate the PTO, and to fund things such as assemblies, field trips and student enrichment activities.
Assemblies to be announced: These can be during the day for students and at night for all of our families.
Box Tops for Education/ Price Chopper “Tools for Schools”/Campbell's Soup Labels: are all projects that the PTO oversees that directly add to the benefits of our school. Please go online or contact us about registering your Price Chopper card.
As you can see, our goals are great! We need your support so they can all be achieved. The stronger your PTO, the better your child’s experience at school can become. The best way to know how to support the PTO is to attend a meeting. If you can’t make a meeting, visit the MESPTO’s link on the school’s website www.middleburghscd.org for meeting notes, and dates to remember.
