Feb. 2, 2012
On January 25, 2012, more than 40 community members attended Middleburgh Central School District’s District Update and Community Conversation, held in the High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
Superintendent Michele Weaver presented a district update that outlined the extent of the flood damage to school properties and the recovery made to date, as well as the economic realities facing the district and the solutions being explore—including the application, with five other districts, for a feasibility study grant to examine the potential benefits of resource sharing or consolidation among the districts. The full presentation is available here. [View Presentation - PDF]
The comments from the small group discussions were recorded
by BOCES facilitators. A summary of comments has been compiled
into a report for community review.
The district has drawn community questions from the comment report and is currently in the process of developing an FAQ to address the questions to the best of our ability.
We greatly appreciate the community involvement and feedback
we received, and look forward to continuing the conversation at
future forums.
