Girls' Varsity Track
Coach Ray Kimball
During the 2010-11 season the girls' varsity track team won both the WAC
League and Section II Championships for the 2011 season.
This year the girls’ varsity track team kicked off their season with wins over BKW (76-64), Schoharie (97-43), Duanesburg (73-58) and Galway (115-51).
The team travels this week to Fort Plain (5/3), Marsh Galotta Invitational (5/5). Please come out and cheer us on.
INVITATIONAL UPDATES
Maple Hill Invitational, April 28, 2012
The girls' varsity track team won the Maple Hill Invitational for the second consecutive year. Shania Marotta was named outstanding field performer for her throws in the shot and discus. Shania took 1st place in the discus with a personal best of 101' 10" and finished 2nd place in the shot put. Way to go Shania!
Amanda Roney took two 1st place finishes with 5'0" in the high jump and a 27.7sec 200 meter. Courtney Paser finished 2nd in the 800 meter and 6th in the 1500 meter. Victorian Wright took second place 100 meter and 5th in the 400 meter. Kate Marotta took first place in the shot put and 3rd place in the triple jump. Calley Lawyer finished 4th in the 200 meter. Rebecca Kelley placed 6th in the high jump. The 4x100 Relay Team of Molly Francis, Victorian Wright, Amanda Roney and Calley Lawyer placed 3rd.
