Week of May 5
On behalf of the MCS community, I would just like to extend a
heartfelt thank you to all of the individuals who helped make
the 48th Marsh-Galotta Invitational a huge success! We hosted 15
schools and received help and support from many students, staff,
and parents. An event such as this is not possible without this
kind of support. So very simply....THANK YOU!!!
A special thank you to the MCS Booster Club for their help in
making the Marsh-Galotta an event to remember! The concession
stand offered so many choices for the athletes and families. The
event could not have been a success without your help.
The Girls Varsity track team placed 2nd out of 15 teams at the
Marsh-Galotta track meet on Saturday. Amanda Roney was named
outstanding athlete of the meet with 1st place in the high jump
and long jump and 2nd in the 400 & 100 meter runs. Other 1st
place finishes were Kari Vincent in the pole vault and Lyndsey
McCoy in the 400 hurdles. Also, the 3200 meter relay team of
Lyndsey McCoy, Carley Ryan, Breanna Palmatier, and Olivia Hamm
came in 1st. Great job to all the girls.
MCS Varsity softball beat Galway 10-7 and
then a nail biter win against Spa Catholic 4-3. Bailey Wood had
a go ahead 2 run home run in the top of the seventh and Cassidy
Coons pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts for the win.
Donkey basketball participants lost in the
finals in overtime but represented us well. Thanks to Amanda
Roney, Kari Vincent, Carley Ryan, Ryan Bechtold, Mark Camp and
The event raised about $2050 for
AED Project of Schoharie County.
